Rahul Madkami of Malkangiri Government Sports Hostel won the first medal for Odisha in the form of gold in boys individual compound round of the 11th Mini National Archery Championship at Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh today.
Rahul beat Esraj Dubey of Delhi in the final 241-240. An 18-member-team is representing Odisha in this championship, which commenced on October 23. The squad has 12 boys and six girls.
